CVAIA Encourages Financial Independance

Logan, Utah- Could you survive if you lost your job or quit working for some other reason? If you answered no then you are not financially independant. Financial independance is widely misunderstood in Cache Valley and throughout the country and because people don't understand it they don't achieve it. To educate citizens concerning financial security is a big priority for Cache Valley.

The Cache Valley Area Investors Association was founded two years ago to help people achieve financial independance. "I want people to be happy," said Preston Parker, founder and president of CVAIA, "a whole lot of people are complaining about their jobs, but they don't need to. When financially independant, you can have whatever job you want because you have enough money from your passive income." Parker and the CVAIA educate their members that financial independance is achieved when a persons passive income (money acquired from investments) is higher than a persons expenses. "You should not like my father-in-law have to work at a job for 39 years that you hate and complain about almost everyday," explained Parker, "I know financially independant garbage truck drivers who do it becuase they love seeing the smiles on kids faces when the truck comes, not because they need the income.

"The CVAIA holds meetings at 7:00 pm every other Thursday at the Cache County Chamber of Commerce. Laywers, security and identity theft personel, small business owners, commercial and residential builders and other financial experts speak at these meetings. "These professionals who would normally charge hundreds of dollars per hour, speak on how to invest your time, assests and experience to become financially independant," explained Parker, "but we are doing it free of charge."

"Bring a piece of paper and a writing utencil," said Parker, "in five years you could be financially independant if you really want."
